    Benefits and Applications:
Ectoin is highly soluble in water and can be incorporated into products designed for hydration, repair, and anti-aging benefits. Produced via a biofermentation process that yields high-purity ectoin, it finds extensive use in personal care formulations aimed at skin repair, pollution defense, sun protection, post-sun recovery, and anti-aging care. Ectoin helps boost skin’s moisture levels, restore its natural balance, combat photoaging, inhibit glycation, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, and provide soothing relief to irritated skin.
    1. Enhances the skin's ability to retain moisture, leaving it hydrated and radiant. Experimental results demonstrate that using Ectoin significantly boosts the skin's water content, and even after 7 days of use, the skin continues to maintain high levels of hydration.
    2. Capable of repairing UV-induced damage. Using four different treatment conditions—UVA irradiation combined with 16 µg/mL of Ectoin—we exposed immortalized human epidermal keratinocytes (HaCaT cells) to controlled doses of UVA and UVB radiation. After irradiation, cells were treated with varying concentrations of Ectoin. By analyzing key cell proliferation factors, we investigated whether Ectoin could effectively mitigate UV-induced cellular damage. The experimental results clearly demonstrate that Ectoin significantly enhances the repair of UV-induced cell injury.
    3. Protects Langerhans cells and enhances cellular immunity. Ectoin effectively shields Langerhans cells—critical immune cells in the skin that reside in the intercellular spaces of the epidermis, helping to defend the skin against microorganisms, UV radiation, allergens, and other external threats—from damage caused by environmental stressors.
Using a biofermentation process to produce high-purity ectoin. Ectoin is biosynthesized *de novo* from glucose, featuring cutting-edge technology, with purity exceeding 99%—resulting in extremely low hygroscopicity, exceptional stability, and an environmentally friendly, green production process.
